Margaret Irene dreams of flying
I recently purchased some old books at a sale. One was a General Biology course which belonged to Margaret Irene Anderson. She was quite the doodler! She was a sophomore in 1939 and from the looks of her biology book, she wasn't really 'into' the class :)
I took bits and pieces of her doodling, mostly airplanes and applied them to this wooden 8 x 8 piece.
Here you can see her signature. She LOVED to write out her name. I've written in gold 'Margaret liked to doodle in biology class'
There's also a skeleton image from the book that's hidden in her dress. She had written 'BOO' by it :) I tried so hard not to cover that part up but it happened before I even noticed :(
Here I've written 'She dreams of flying'
See her airplanes? just left of center is an airplane heading straight towards you :)
I feel a bond with Margaret Irene. I always have been and always will be a DOODLER!
Go doodlers.....past, present and future♥

I love how you incorporated her doodles in to your art piece, that is so awesome!!
I'm sure she would be proud to have them in such a lovely piece of art.

yes, doodling!
love it. :)
This is lovely!
You know I have been doodling and painting circles lately. I just noticed your circles in this photo and had to smile.
What a lovely way to honor a young girl and her doodles! Such a very sweet thing for you to do and you have a very beautiful piece to show for it too!
Hugs and blessings,
♥Anita

Awesome!! I love the colors and composition, just beautiful.
So beautiful, and wouldn't it be awesome if she knew you made such a wonderful tribute to her doodles ? Guess she never thought of this happening. I love it, the story behind the painting keeps me wondering about her ...
Oooh, I wonder what ever happened to Margaret--don't you? What a find that was and I love that you used it in your art--I think Margaret would be happy :)
