Rainy day doodle

Are my roots showing?

Sometimes, all I can think about is moving......moving someplace where the winters are mild yet summers aren't scorching either. But I have roots here, 50 years worth of wonderful family, friends and memories. I know I will not leave unless something happened that forced me to I suppose. And deep down, I'm more than 'ok' with that♥

Cool doodle! I love her eyes!! Is it on water colour paper?? If so will you paint it? It'd be interesting to see it in colour! I know what you mean about roots! My roots are firmly in Australia now, something I never thought would happen when I moved here. But I really do love where I live, I think we all feel itchy feet sometimes but that's what holidays are for...perhaps it's time you had a holida??? ;0)

As an uprooted person I agree that leaving "home" is hard.

I love the sketch!

Hi Darla, sounds like you could do with winning the lottery and having a summer home. This way your roots stay but you can go somewhere sunny when for a few months.
Your friends and family are so important to you. If you win enough you can take them with you!
Oh to dream hey!
Your in a sunny place umongst your most precious!
I think this sometimes, about moving but don't want to move away from my mum. She is so very dear to me. I moved away when i was yound for nine years and she missed me so much! I don't think I could do this again.
Glad you create the summer!

A lovely sketch Darla. I sometimes feel the same. I would love to move away, but I would miss my family too much.
