First Tim Gagnon project

As I mentioned earlier, I'm taking a class from Tim Gagnon. He's so talented!
I finally mustered up the courage to finish my first project and put an old barn/shed on it. Boy, it's very hard to get the grass wispy like his when my fan brush is just too new. I'm looking forward to it getting a little spikey and worn down and hopefully that will help.

I didn't put distant mountains in my background, well.....because I live in the flat lands of ND and we really have no mountains on this side of the state :) Keepin' it real. ha

Have a great Saturday!
Darla

Darla, this painting is just beautiful. I love the colors and the style. Barns are a favorite theme of mine. Living in California, I see so many different kinds. I have always meant to snap pictures of all the different barns I see...but alas! Poor planning and no time have thrown a wrench in the works.
Thank goodness for wonderful artists like you who have the talent to capture the beauty of a barn on a hill. Love it! Keep going girl!
