Taking the easy way out :)

And I'm donating to the auction a 12 x 16 canvas board I painted 2 years ago! Is that bad? I'm just so busy right now and I end up stressing about what to do for these things and then all of a sudden it hits me......I HAVE stuff on hand that I can donate!
This will come with a white wooden frame. She's a little snowchic out feeding the birds on a crisp winter morning. There's texture on the trees and glitter on the snow.
I hope somebody finds her cute and bids on her. We shall see!

The last couple of nights I've been busy working at a friend's house. Actually it's my good friend's son and his wife. They have a very nice bar/sports room in their basement and they wanted me to paint 'Minnesota Vikings' on their wall. It's pretty big! The most work was projecting the writing onto the wall. That took one night, I painted in the lettering last night and still need to get back and do the gold trim around the letters. I think it will look pretty nice when it's all complete. Hopefully I remember to bring a camera on the last visit.

I'm off to get my nails done tonight and a little shopping to stock up. My little nail tech will love the PURPLE paint stained fingernails! ha

Happy Wednesday!
Darla

Problem Solved! Brilliant! She is perfect for the auction.
I don't know about you, but I think I'm ahead of my time in my area, people seem to finally "fall in love" with things I'm almost ashamed I made. (This has nothing to do with YOUR art, this is my story)
I think I get better, but nobody is feeling it...oh well, at least it's fun.
OH! The sports theme sure comes up a lot...Gawd! A graphic designer made these LOGOS. Now you want me to replicate them for a small fee!
(again, not about you, remember, this is MY blog, lol) Sorry to run on, but you Vikings reminded me of my Penn State bar stools...She just called me back:/
She is a great (cheap) client with a weird sense of art.
I realize these are friends of yours. It's a favor.
When people see you can paint, don't they take it the wrong way? LOL
Huggins Darla,
Lisa

PS Go Vikings!
(do they play Penn State?)
WHO CARES!!!!

The painting is very cute!! Not bad at all to donate something you have on hand. I do that too! We can't always have time to make new pieces to donate... that would be crazy! ;)

I LOVE snowmen....which is really weird considering I live in sub-tropical climate where we NEVER get snow. Beautiful work, Darla!
