Beautiful, strong woman

There's a woman here who I've known for many years who is now battling her third round of cancer. Years ago it was breast cancer. Last year she was diagnosed with cancer in her hip, spine and some surrounding organs. After intensive treatment and a hip replacement she was doing very well. Not curable from what I understand, but treatable. Last week they discovered cancer in her brain. Doctors are 'optimistic'........but I seriously have to wonder just how does one stay optimistic after this? It's like Laurie is being tested beyond normal limits. She is a sweet person, loved by many. I graduated with her sister and we all three worked at the local Dairy Queen in our high school days.
Bless you Laurie and my prayers are with you......always!

How does one stay optimistic? It amazes me how some do.
Bless your friend and all of her trials. I hope she wins.
This is a beautiful post and a gorgeous drawing

Your friend sounds such a fighter. Wow, so much admiration, but wish she didn't have to be admired for this horrid trial. Bless her so much!

I was guessing that the Friday sketch was a cancer survivor/warrior. What a beautiful tribute to your friend...I hope she gets one of your beautiful paintings as inspiration!
