IF-Idle

I'm finding lately that I'm becoming much too content to sit inside, 'idle', while the beautiful sun is shining and my furkid (Mieko) would love to be out for a walk. Here I sit. I love my home and I love to stay home and create, but come on..............

Winter will be here soon enough and I must get outside and enjoy the wonderful days of summer while I still can!

No painting for me today, I'm going to get OUT and do something fun :) Hope you all can too~

Hope your having a great day enjoying the sun!
Thank you so much for your warm and caring message. Yep, this is us, finding hard to pay the mortgage etc, we are getting seriously behind. We are so behind and I cannot hope on my art to help. I am draining marks money to fund my art, pay for sites that hoped to sell prints etc, not working. So I had to sit and think. Any little money I did make was paying mark back. Basically I was spending more than receiving.
So it is play safe for a while.
All my love Janine! Thank you!

This is great! I have the same issue. I have too much fun at my art desk, and forget to do anything else.

I totally 'hear' what you are saying. It wasn't until I realized I hadn't left my home for several weeks, that I thought 'whoa...I think I might have a problem!'
Now I try to get out, even if just for a little walk, 4 or 5 times each week.
It's just too easy to get caught up in creating and lose all track of time!
I love your work...thanks for sharing!

Your art is so beautiful, Darla! I love this piece! I guess for us it's the other way around - summer is indoor time (too hot outside) and during our mild winter, we are out and about every day! Can't wait for it to get cooler... Hugs, Silke

Thank you sweet people! You don't know how wonderful it is for me to hear I'm not alone in wanting to sit inside and paint, even when it's beautiful outside!! I thought I was Abby Normal! LOL
I did get out yesterday and got some new shrubs for my yard, some groceries, visited my dear friend MICHAELS :)and had a lovely meal in a truck stop! They make some of the best meals, don't they? Good old home cooking...but not.
I also visited Lowes and am preparing to fix up my little patio outside! I'll be sure to show you before/after pics!
Hugs,
Darla
