A trip down memory lane

A trip back in time to when I painted almost nothing but roses! I just wanted to try something a little quicker tonight and see if I retained any of my movie editing skills. I did.....somewhat! I do have to add that I've gotten a little rusty in my rose designs! Good grief......but it was quick and it was a piece of cardboard so I guess it's close enough for now.

It still took me awhile and I have NOTHING fancy on my videos, but here it is :)

OMG--this is how I started too!! These are great--roses were always the toughies. Actually, I started with D. Dewberry's one stroke--is that still as popular as it use to be?

Thanks Micki and Diane!
Diane, yes.....I was into One Stroke too. I actually became certified and taught for 4-5 years :) Were you an OSCI too???????

So pretty! And you make it look so easy too. I like how you added titles to your video =)

How do you mount your camera? It looks like its right over your shoulder. I'm impressed. Lovely artwork, too.

Thanks everyone....Diana, the camera is on a tripod actually to my side and more in front of my work space but when editing I just select the option to rotate so it's not actually an upside down view as it's shot:)
I didn't know I could do that and that's partly what kept me from ever setting something up and trying to record. It's actually fun!

Darla this is beautiful! And I had wondered if it was the one stroke technique! You make it look so easy! I have never tried flowers.

Love the pale pretty colors you used in this one!

Great job with the video! :)

Thanks for your comment on my sketch! :)

WOW ... those roses take me back to the OS days on e-circles (now defunct) and the OS Mamma list on Yahoo (now defunct). If it wasn't for OS, I doubt I'd be painting!!!
