Newest sketch

I find it so interesting when I sit down to sketch out another girl, to see how she will turn out. Somehow it will reflect my mood whether it's sassy, sad, whimsical, deep in thought, etc.
Last night I was drawing this girl and I don't know how she came to be. I was in pain (severe pinched nerve in my neck!) and I really just took my time.

I think she looks so confident and pretty, like she knows things will be ok. She has faith in that! She also appears to have a young, strong, healthy neck! ha
I really need to find out now how to do darker skin tones. I've got such a busy weekend ahead so I won't have a chance to tackle this one until next week.

**Whine Alert**
My neck is killing me! Advil seems to help a little but sleeping is tough. It only feels comfortable to sleep on my right side but then my right shoulder (bursitis) takes another hit. This getting old stuff is for the birds!

**Rant Over **

Have a blessed day♥♥

Darla she is beautiful.

Now this pain: Okay, fine, I'm not a doctor.

Have you tried Naproxen. You need a prescription for it but it is an anti-inflammatory and may also help with your bursitis.

I have very bad arthritis too, and it is not fun.

Take care and check it out. Also which is really good if you need something fast without a prescription is Tylenol Arthritis. It works excellent.

Yes, I know I am not a doctor. har har.

Love Renee xoxoxo

The sketch is so very pretty. She does have a lovely young neck doesn't she! I know what you mean, I never know who might appear when I draw. I agree, getting old is for the birds! I can really feel it when I garden. Ugh.

She is beautiful Darla, and confident looking just like you said!
Have you had a bad neck for a long time? Hope you heal shortly! I have a wheat bag for my face when it hurts, one I place in the microwave. You probably have one as Uk is slow at getting these things.

Keep my hopes on your healing!

Oh, thank you all so much for the good wishes on the neck! It's better today than yesterday but Renee, I'm going to take your advice and pick up some Tylenol Arthritis. My chiropractor told me years ago that I was getting arthritis in my neck so it seems to get wonky very easily.
All I did was sleep......slept wrong I guess, but woke up two days ago with a kink. It's coming around finally.
Thanks all for comments on my new sketch too♥

I just found your blog! your art is so beautiful! I've been going through the exact same thing your going through with neck and shoulders, I went to a natural doc, she said calcium and magnesium combo and "Wobenzyme" an enzyme that helps with joint and muscle pain, i started taking it and i'm feeling better, you can get it at any natural health food store! its a natural cure, hope it helps.:)
