hmmmmmmmm need some opinions please?

This is a large canvas and I started out wanting to do an abstract landscape and then I hated it so I started to make it a little more realistic, except for the funky sky colors :)
Anyway, I was thinking about putting a large tree in the left front area or maybe some fence posts but I'm scared I"ll mess it up.
Should I go ahead and do that or just touch up the highlights over on that side and call it good?

I can't believe how much paint a person uses on large canvases. No wonder people charge so much. LOL!

Thanks in advance and I look forward to your opinions♥

Well of course we can't tell you that !LOL
Here is what I say , Don't let your fear of messing it up keep you from following your gut on this piece. Only the artist knows when her piece is finished .
I will say . I love it , though . That sky is beautiful and I love the way the light hits the middle of the grass. Very Beautiful !!
Be brave

Love it Darla, the sky is gorgeous, colours are fab, i'd say it's finished now, but you have to go with your gut feeling, would you be happy with it as it is? or constantly feel like it was missing something?

Hugs

Darla you do such beautiful work! I have to say I love this the way it is now! The colors are gorgeous and the light shining on the grass is amazing! But as everyone else has said....you need to go with your gut! I am sure whatever you decide will be wonderful! I know the fear about messing it up! I go through that alot especially as a newbie!

I love the sky we have skies like that sometimes toward the evening in the fall.

For me it's finished I love that the light shines down on the grass and I want to step into the painting and follow it.

Like everyone else though follow your heart.I tend to be really minimalist so I cannot say.

I could see something else in this but having said that it's beautiful as is. I agree with Micki would you always feel like it was missing something if you didn't add something?

Love it by the way the colours are gorgeous!

The colours are amazing! Personally, I feel it does need something in the foreground area like one your gorgeous trees breaking the horizon. Or perhaps some birds flying in the sky?

I know the feeling of being afraid to attempt something just in case it goes wrong. Here's a tip that I sometimes use if I'm unsure about adding something. Get yourself some clear plastic, like the plastic sleeves used in display books...use clear tape to tape two together for the size you require. Now, with a black/brown felt-tipped pen (or acrylic paint), draw a tree onto the plastic in the size and shape you want to add to your painting and, when done, overlay the plastic onto your painting and it should give you a very rough idea of whether or not it would work to balance your painting or not. Hope that helps ~
