Jack of all trades, master of none?

Does that old saying describe anyone else out there? Sometimes I think I try so many different things...and I have a blast while I'm doing them....and then I move onto something else. This week it's watercolors again. And as most of you know by now, next week it might be more mixed media again! Then I'll have a new love crush on ACEOs again. I also have oil paints I'm itching to break into also but for some reason they scare me. Silly, huh?

Sometimes I really wish I could focus on one medium, work with it continually and 'master' it! But then again, it's fun to change things up a bit. I guess that's my personality and who I am and I should probably quit fighting it?

Soon, (and TOO soon) the snow will be here again and then I'll probably cross over to crocheting again! Awww, cozy winter crafts!!

I keep hoping I'll stumble upon something that will stick and I'll get so good at it and will never stray again. Oh, who am I kidding. I'll be a hopper 'til the end. And probably lovin' every minute of it! :)

Have a great weekend!!

This painting is darling!! So cute and, yes, that saying rings true with me too, Darla. I'm always jumping back and forth when it comes to my creative endeavours.

Darla i love those birdies and i would apply that to me too, drawing, making felt cuties, card making, recycling this and that and baking...the list goes on and time with it. I keep waiting for that moment when i realise my creative nature might take me somewhere new, or somewhere i can earn some pennies but until then i craft, cause i love it :)

I am just like you!! I do some of everything from painting, felting, crocheting to metal jewelry, ceramic sculpture.....the list goes on and on! I determined a long while ago that I will never settle in with just one thing (although whatever I am captivated by at the moment...I always think "THIS is it! The thing I'll do forever!!) I'm glad to know there are others like me! I would love for you to come visit my blog if you get time.

Everytime I decide "this is the craft for me!" and after I purchase eVErYtHing ever even remotely suggested that I need for it..I find myself wandering..
Oh well. Guess we make ADD fun, huh?!

Love your colourful little birdies Darla... I haven't been doing much blogging or blog hopping throughout the summer.... but, as you say....winter is coming on....here too..... and there is not much summery stuff left so must.take.advantage.of.it. And then.... wintery crafting and more blog surfing....
