11 x 14 Canvas

Last night I just felt like trying something new....different in a way. I put all kinds of paper on this canvas, mostly for texture and then added color....LOTS of color :) I was thinking of painting a girl or angel but I took a left turn and I enjoyed the trip. haha

I love painting with these colors but at this point it doesn't really match my home and decor. I think my next home will have white or off white walls (ick?) and then I will fill it with pops of color from artwork.

I hope to get more pics taken and get this on Etsy this afternoon. There is a part of me that wants to keep it though ;)

Have a great Tuesday!!

Hi Darla!

I've had a lot of catching up to do. I've really enjoyed looking through your recent paintings. Like those gorgeous coffee girls! what a cute idea!!! And the snow queen looking lady so beautiful and so full of personality!!! I love this latest piece, so colourful! I've been experimenting with painting flowers recently and I'm really enjoying it!! I've got a canvas at the moment that I've just put alot of texture on, I'm a bit nervous about starting the painting on it as I don't want to ruin it!! heheheh Be sure to pop by my blog as I'm taking part in the OWOH giveaway and would love for you to enter! :0)

Darla, I Love! The colors are so juicy and the texture is wonderful! I really enjoyed your coffee girlies too! I will go and check them out again. Thank you for your comment on my blog. I use a very heavy hand with those soft pencils and frequently can't use my hands much the next day from my arthritis, LOL! Just a heads up if you ever want to try the technique. Oh yes, and smooth bristol or hot press paper is a plus too.
