I finally made it to Grand Forks and snagged some of the 5x5 canvases! I bought 10 so I'm all set for awhile :) Here are the two girls I started last night and finished up this morning.
Well, I need to do my workout, shower, clean house a bit and make heart-shaped cookies for this special Hallmark Holiday! Dale told me he's taking me out for supper and a movie but I don't know if it will be locally or out of town. It all depends on the beautiful, unpredictable winter weather today :)

Snow, snow and more snow! At least you were able to get to the store! Happy Valentines' Day to you dear friend!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! Love your colors. And I really love your signature. Sometimes the way we sign a painting takes away from it...but not yours. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo, were the 5X5's at Michael's? And, little lady, just wanted yo to know, it's because of your beautilfy girls that I finally got the mouths of my sketches right! Seriously!
ReplyDeleteI looked at your and "saw" not the shape of lips per se..but that of Christmas Ivy..then I turned my sketch pad sideways and did a holly leaf, and whatdayaknow..a little altering on the bottom of the leaf..and it became a MOUTH!
So, thank you for teaching me to look beyond the "thing" and see what else it could be..Ivy = lips :-)
Oh Colleen, that's wonderful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the little canvases were at Michaels. I didn't see them after searching and searching and finally asked the manager. Sure enough, they were in the kids' section! I had only walked past them about 5 times! :)
Hope you can find some in your area.
These are both stunning. Your faces are very beautiful. Keep creating...
